That Name which is Above Every Name

THAT NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME

The title came from where the Apostle Paul said of JESUS CHRIST: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippines 2:9-11

In total agreement Peter said: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12  

And JESUS didn’t tell Nicomedus that he should be born again but, He told him: Ye must be born again.” John 3:7

From what has thus been said, did you sense the value the Holy Scripture placed on the Name JESUS CHRIST? And rightly so for He is worthy.

JESUS Himself decreed the urgency in so much that He told us: “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”  Luke 14:23 

Sinners should always be reminded that the LORD GOD said in the Proverbs:

“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at naught all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.  Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:” Proverbs 1:24-28 

The late Reverend Bob Jones of Toledo Ohio (The Preacher’s Preacher) got it right when he said with a great big smile, “JESUS, JESUS, JESUS is all there is to preach, sing or teach.”  I say a-men to that.   “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
