THEY SHALL NOT HURT NOR DESTROY IN ALL MY HOLY MOUNTAIN
(ISAIAH
11)
August 17, 2010
We begin this study where the LORD GOD prophesied: “The wolf also
shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the
calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead
them. And the cow and the bear shall
feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw
like the ox. And the sucking child shall
play on the hole of the asp, and they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my
holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as
the waters cover the sea.” Isaiah 11:6-9
To begin with that prophecy was not about the four-footed beasts,
but the tranquility that should exist among the Saints after the Gentile Saints
should be brought into the Kingdom to coexist with the Jewish Saints.
A good portrayal where men were depicted
as animals is where JESUS sent His disciples out to preach His everlasting
Gospel. He told them: “Go your ways:
behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.” Luke 10:3
Another portrayal:
After that Matthew said: “Then Jesus departed into the coasts of
Tyre and Sidon And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and
cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.” Matthew 15:21-22
But said JESUS: “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the
house of Israel .” Matthew 15:24
“Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.” Matthew 15:26-27
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy
faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from
that very hour.” Matthew 15:28
Now I gave that example to say this: the LORD called the Gentiles
dogs before He saved them and continued to call them dogs after He redeemed
them. During that concourse He referred
to Israel ’s
sinners as lost sheep and also after their redemption.
That remained true in the case of the Gentiles. GOD called them wolves, leopards and lions
before He redeemed them and continued to do so after He saved them and brought
them into the kingdom, beginning with the centurion, Cornelius. Cornelius and his house was brought into the
kingdom for service not salvation. They
were give the gifts of the Holy Ghost to preach and teach the everlasting
gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Paul, with his superb understanding shed light on why the LORD
still compared the Gentiles to animals of the wild.
He told them: “For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which
is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive
tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into
their own olive tree?” Romans 11:24
The Gentiles being taken from a kingdom that Paul considered to be
wild helped us to understand why the Creator, GOD still considered them to be
wild but, as it were, tame.
During the Old Testament the Kingdom was not at peace with its own
as it has been now for the past two-thousand plus years.
AND A
LITTLE CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM
The LORD GOD also said: “And a little
child shall lead them.”
Considering Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles (Romans 11:13 ,) he made himself of no
reputation and declared that he was the least in the kingdom and the least of
the apostles. What do you think? Didn’t that qualify the Apostle Paul as being
that little child and capable of leading those Gentile people that God
portrayed as wolves, leopards and young lions?
I say with you, yes. And Amen!
Yea, Mount
Sion is the Holy Mount
wherein the LORD GOD prophesied:
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall
lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling
together; and a little child shall lead them.
And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down
together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole
of the asp, and They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover
the sea.” Isaiah 11:6-9
May the GOD of the universe be blessed forever, Amen!
